Hello, I'm Kelsey! I'm a writer with a lifelong love of reading and a fascination with history.

 

 From a young age, I was hooked on historical fiction, from Regency England all the way to the Cold War. These books were about more than just entertainment for me; they felt like a meaningful connection back in time to the people and events that shaped the world I lived in.

 

I was born and raised in the heart of the Canadian prairies, and now live in Texas. Having travelled through almost every province and state, I’ve seen firsthand the diverse landscapes and stories that make up North America. This has given me an even greater appreciation for all sorts of cultures and time periods.

My path to writing fiction wasn't a direct one. For over 20 years, I've worked as a professional writer in the business world. This taught me how to be clear, precise, and intentional in my writing. ​Now, I’ve put my professional experience and my lifelong passion for history together to write the kind of stories I’ve always loved to read.​

With each set of letters, my goal is to create characters who feel completely real. For me, historical accuracy is paramount. I love the challenge of weaving real facts, places, and events into these stories. Every detail, from the clothing they wear to the political climate they navigate, is carefully considered.​

I believe historical fiction is a wonderful way to connect with the past—to walk in the footsteps of people long gone and understand their struggles and triumphs. I hope you enjoy reading these stories as much as I enjoy bringing them to life!
