Our letters are works of historical fiction. They are entirely new, original stories written by our author, but they are meticulously researched to be as historically accurate as possible to the time period, place, and culture they portray.
How long are the letters?
Every letter you receive is 4-6 pages long. While we include additional items into every envelope to create an immersive experience, our focus is on the story-telling! For this reason, our author takes generous time to expand on background information and create room for character development in every letter so our readers truly feel they're stepping into the story themselves.
How do you ensure historical accuracy?
Our author is a lifelong history enthusiast who dedicates time to researching the clothing, customs, politics, technology, and day-to-day details of the era. The goal is to create a believable world for the characters and an authentic reading experience for you.
What periods of history do the letters cover?

How many letters are in a series and how long does the subscription last?
Each complete series consists of 24 letters mailed to you every two weeks over the course of one year.

Your first letter package will be shipped within 3 business days of placing your order, unless you specify a different start date for a gift subscription.

Can I send a subscription as a gift?
Absolutely! Our historical letter series makes a wonderful gift. Simply enter your recipient's name and mailing address in the shipping fields at checkout. You can also choose the date you want shipping to start, such as after Christmas or a birthday.
If I want to give this as a gift, will I receive a digital printout?
Yes, you can add our elegantly designed printable gift certificate to your purchase. You can present to the recipient right away, letting them know their year-long adventure is on its way.
Is shipping included in the price?
Yes, all postage costs for your 24 letters are included in your purchase price. We are pleased to offer FREE shipping on our Collectors Boxes as well so you can enhance your subscription experience.
What is your cancellation policy?

Yes! However, international shipping will take additional time for delivery so please anticipate there may be delays once your letters are mailed.
I have moved! How do I change my mailing address?
Please contact us immediately at info@lettersfromhomesubscription.com with your old and new mailing address so we can ensure the correct address is updated for all remaining letters in your series.
If I choose one font at checkout, can I change it?
Yes! We want you to be able to customize your experience and enjoy your letters in a way that fits you best. We choose calligraphy fonts for the characters that mimic hand-written styles; however, you can choose to receive your letters in Plain Text if you prefer. Please contact us at info@lettersfromhomesubscription.com to change the font of your letters at any time during your subscription.
Why are letters sent every two weeks instead of once a week?
Sending our letters biweekly is a key part of the experience. This schedule makes the story feel real by matching the slow speed of historical mail, giving you a slow, authentic, and special experience that stands out from today's fast pace.

Plus, the two-week gap is a safety net! If you tell us a letter is missing, we have a full 14 days to quickly send a new one so it can arrive before the next letter is scheduled, keeping your storyline in order.
Are these letters appropriate for teens or younger readers?
